Discovering the River Sherbourne

(Working Title)

I began this project in the Autumn of 2016. I’d graduated from univeristy and, having not picked up a camera for several months I was looking for a subject to focus on for a new body of work. As a Coventry native I was aware of the river Sherbourne but knew nothing about it, except that it flows underneath the city centre. And so, in an attempt to satisfy my curiosity, to learn more about this under- appreciated water way, and to set my self a challenge (I’ve not done much landscape photography before) I began to document it starting at the source in Hawkes End near Allesley. My intention is to follow to Bagington where it joins the river Sowe and then… well… I guess I’ll figure that out as I go.
