House Number 42- Week 1

I don’t know that the excitement had settled or the reality or enormity of the task ahead had sunk in by day two; maybe by the end of the first week! Every room needed a complete redecoration.

The first thing to do though, was to give everywhere a good clean before we started to clear out the shed and strip the wall paper in the bedrooms. We both had some time off work and help from family so by the end of the week one we had a clean and functioning kitchen, toilet and bathroom; made a start clearing out the garden and shed; stripped walls in both bedrooms; AND had some fresh wallpaper up in one of them! I’d say that’s pretty good going.

(I just love the living room carpet- I want it to stay for as long a possible!)
